Join your child's class, step by step

Start with the private invitation link from your child's teacher, not a public class code. Parents do not need Family Pass to receive work assigned through an active Class Licence. Your adult account, consent and the teacher's confirmation are still required.

1. Open the teacher's private invitation link

   Use the link in the school's usual private message. If you do not have it, ask the teacher; do not guess a code or use another class's invitation. Teachers can follow the class setup guide.

2. Sign in as yourself

   Enter your own email address and choose Continue. For an existing account, enter your password. For a new account, choose a password, fill in Repeat password and choose Create account. If asked, choose Continue parent setup and read the consent step. Do not use a child's email address or the teacher's login.

3. Choose the right child and school

   Use your child's existing profile if they already have one; do not create a duplicate. For your ordinary free child space, follow the setup step to add a profile. Check the first name, year group and last initial; never enter a full surname. Select the correct official school. If the invitation says no child is linked, choose the school for that child, then reopen the original invitation.

   For a child who does not have a profile, open their own paid class invitation. Choose Add a child for a funded class if your account has no child profiles, or Add another child for a funded class if it already has a profile. Spellito checks the class has paid cover before showing the form. Repeat this from the correct invitation for each additional child, not one sibling's invitation for everyone. Your account can hold five child profiles in total.

4. Ask to join the named class

   Check the school address, class and teacher names on the invitation. For an existing profile, select the child and enter their last initial, then press Ask to join followed by that class's name. Look for Request sent safely. For a new class-funded child, complete their first name, school year and last initial, read and tick the sharing confirmation, then choose Add child and ask to join. This returns you to your family page while the teacher reviews the request. If anything is wrong, stop and ask the teacher before submitting.

   The request shares only your child's first name, last initial and school year with the registered class teachers. Do not enter a full surname or send pupil documents.

5. Wait for the teacher to confirm

   No practice progress is shared while the request is pending. The teacher checks each request before confirming or rejecting it. Without Family Pass, an additional class-funded profile needs teacher confirmation and current paid class cover before it is available as an extra player. School homework still requires a confirmed class link and active class funding. If you are waiting or the invitation is unavailable, ask the teacher to check; making another account will not speed this up.

   To cancel a pending request, open your family page. Choose Find their class for that child, or Manage class request if a class is already shown, then Withdraw pending request. You can do this even if class funding has ended. This only cancels the pending request; it does not delete the profile or refund a payment.

6. Open the assigned words

   Once confirmed, with active class funding and a set sent by the teacher, open Spellito practice while signed in and select the correct child. Look for New from with the teacher's name, then choose Practise this set. On another device, sign in with the same adult account. On a shared device, use account controls to sign out when finished.
