How do I set up this week’s school spellings?
The parent prepares the list before practice starts. That keeps homework setup out of the child dashboard and makes the handover simple: grown-up first, child second.

Buy a Family Pass activation code
Pay £9 once without a Spellito account. After payment is confirmed, your eight-character activation code is emailed to the address entered at checkout. This can differ from your adult account email. There is no automatic renewal.

Activate the code on your grown-up account
Sign in or create a grown-up account, verify your email if needed and give parent consent. In Settings, enter the code to activate Family Pass. Your 12 months start from activation, not payment.

Set up your child and school words
Once Family Pass is active, add a child profile if needed. Choose the correct child, add up to 30 school words and choose the test date.

Check the practice sentences
Spellito suggests a short sentence for every word. Read them, make any changes and save the list.

Hand over for practice
Activate the child's profile. They open School Words, listen to each word and sentence, then type the spelling.
Clear family roles
Who adds the weekly spelling words?
The signed-in parent adds and reviews weekly school words. Children do not get the list builder on their dashboard. They see the completed School Words practice after the parent has selected their profile.
This is especially useful for families with more than one primary-school child. Each profile keeps its own year group, weekly list and results, so Monday’s test words do not get mixed together.

What does the child get from a custom spelling list?

Does my child need their own email address or account?
No. The grown-up owns the parent account and creates child profiles inside it. Children choose their profile and practise without managing a separate sign-in.
Can children add or change their own school words?
No. Weekly school words are managed from the signed-in parent dashboard. The child dashboard only offers the finished School Words practice.
What happens after I enter the weekly spelling list?
Spellito suggests a short, year-appropriate sentence for each word. The parent checks those sentences before saving, then Spellito prepares the teacher-voice audio for practice.
Can brothers and sisters have different spelling lists?
Yes. Each child has a separate profile, year group, weekly list and practice history inside the same family account.
