Who makes Spellito? A small South London studio.
Spellito is made by Wacky Works Digital, a small South London studio run by parents who build practical websites, apps, dashboards and automations. The product started with one real spelling problem at home and grew because a useful family tool looked useful to other families and teachers too.

The real beginning
How did one SATs practice app become Spellito?
Spellito began as a single-pupil app for Isaac while he was preparing for his 2026 SATs. He needed to hear the right word in a sentence, type an answer and get clear feedback without turning a short practice session into a pile of paper. The first version was made for that exact job.

Isaac is in secondary school now, but his practice shaped the core loop: hear a word, understand it in context, spell it and learn from the correction. That lived experience is why Spellito is deliberately quick to open and straightforward to use.
A different learner
Hugo and the letter tiles
His younger brother Hugo uses Spellito in Reception. He is not expected to practise like an older child, so he can use drag-and-drop letter tiles instead of relying on fluent typing. One family showed us, very quickly, that the same spelling app must respect very different stages of learning.
Spellito has been used by real children in the family that made it. That gives us useful first-hand product feedback. It is not a clinical trial or a claim of guaranteed results, and Spellito never replaces a teacher's judgement or specialist support.

What does Wacky Works Digital build?
Wacky Works Digital builds focused digital products and the working systems around them. EdTech is one part of that work. Other education products are already being developed, alongside websites, web apps, operational dashboards, AI-assisted tools and automations for organisations that have outgrown repeated manual work.

What does AI-native mean here?
AI-native means modern AI tools are part of how we research, prototype, test and operate from the beginning. That can make development unusually fast, especially when a clear problem can be proved through a small working version before a larger build.
It does not mean handing decisions to a chatbot. People remain accountable for the brief, product judgement, privacy, safeguarding, accessibility, factual checks and the final release. Spellito's public safeguarding summary and Privacy Notice show what that responsibility looks like in practice.

Can your school ask for something different?
Yes. If a teacher, English lead or head teacher has a particular word-list workflow, progress view, reporting need or access requirement, tell us what currently takes too long. We can decide whether it belongs in the shared product or needs a separate piece of work.
